AsanaEdge grew from more than twenty years of practice and one question I kept coming back to: why does finding a great yoga mat always seem to mean compromising somewhere?
I've practiced on a lot of mats over the years. Some had me slipping the minute things got sweaty. Others needed towels, sprays or their own little breaking-in ritual before they really worked. Then I'd find one with amazing grip, only to discover something else I wasn't crazy about: the materials, the cushion, the durability or simply how it supported my practice.
Eventually, I stopped looking for the mat I wanted and started creating it.
